Despite a few awkwardnesses, Da 5 Bloods proves effective and humanistic in a moving finale, while bringing to light a theme dear to the author: the tragic history of blacks in the United States, from slavery to the riots of the 1960s through segregation and their sacrifice in Vietnam. If Da 5 Bloods brilliantly recovers certain strong symbols (the “Make America Great Again” cap perfectly integrated into the story is a brilliant idea), he is not the standard bearer that he would like to embody, or that #BlackLivesMatter would deserve. .
