The Silencing
The Silencing had everything I love about a movie. There were some unexpected moments, a main character that I loved and wanted to see an element of thriller and some twists. What more could you ask for in a thriller. It was the kind of movie that came out every week in the 90s but nowadays you are lucky if you have one every couple of months and they usually aren’t as good as they used to be. So when I find one as well done as this film it’s a rare pleasure. Game of Thrones’ Nikolaj Coster-Waldau stars in the lead and he’s a remarkably gifted lead actor. Not only is he naturally sympathetic but it is also very easy to sympathize with him. As mentioned before, I really like a good thriller. Sadly they’re incredibly old-fashioned these days but The Silencing is a great reminder of how they can work in cinema …
