Civil War

Set in a near future where the United States is on the brink of collapse and embedded journalists are racing to tell the biggest story of their lives: The end of America as we know it.
After “Ex Machina”, “Annihilation” and “Men”, Alex Garland signs his fourth film: “Civil War”. A story carried by Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons, in an America plunged into a civil war, and whose trailer promises tension.
Two years after Men, Alex Garland will present his fourth feature film, expected on April 26, 2024 in the United States. And he will remain in his favorite universe: the near future. And worrying. As its title suggests, Civil War confronts us with an America plunged into a new civil war, while the synopsis promises us the end of the country as we currently know it.

And it’s an understatement to say that the intense images send shivers down your spine. Because if Alex Garland specializes in science fiction (including as a screenwriter, on 28 Days Later and Sunshine in particular), he approaches the genre in a realistic way. So much so that this trailer seems credible, in the way it refers both to post-apocalyptic films and series and to recent images seen in the media.
